Events By Duke DJ Service was started 10 years ago by, James Williams (DJ Mr. Duke), in Houston, TX. In 2011 After earning his Bachelor’s degree from Texas Southern University and working as a Manager in the private security industry for over 10 years. James decided to get his Master's degree from Texas Womans University and while attending, James was motivated to start his own business. Events By Duke was founded in 2010 after earning his MBA, with a deep passion for business, music and entertaining. James is a professional DJ with ten years of experience with weddings, corporate events, school functions, night clubs and social gatherings in the Houston and Galveston Surrounding area

 

Getting married? After our initial telephone or web consultation, we'll meet to go over our DJ Contract and Wedding Checklist. The Wedding Checklist covers all details of your wedding reception and/or ceremony. We will walk you through every detail to ensure that your special day is all you’ve ever dreamed it will be! Just having a party? No problem. The process is the same, but with a little less paperwork. However, the quality and level of service remains true! There is a deposit of 25% of your total to secure your date. The deposit will be deducted from your total cost. The final balance isn't due until a week before your wedding day.

 

Our services include professional, high quality DJ equipment by QSC, Pioneer, Rane, Chauvet DJ, Dragon Frontboard, Global Truss, Grundorf, Apple, Shure, and Odyssey. All of our lighting is controlled via computer, creating endless possibilities for a variety of color schemes and light shows.

 

Every package comes with intelligent dance floor lighting. What is intelligent lighting? It’s lighting controlled via computer that can be completely customized!
